- Shift Operations & Coordination: Organize staff assignments, manage shift coverage for call-outs, plan meaningful resident activities, and ensure scheduled medical appointments and transportation arrangements are completed.
- Safety & Communication: Partner with nursing and clinical teams to integrate medical and behavioral care. Ensure timely incident reporting, accurate shift documentation, and clear handoffs between incoming and outgoing shifts.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in human services, healthcare, or a related field preferred).
- Experience: Experience in residential human services, behavioral health, healthcare, or disability services required. Experience with complex medical, psychiatric, or behavioral needs is strongly preferred.
- Supervisory Skills: Demonstrated leadership ability with an interest in coaching and managing staff. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Core Competencies: Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and crisis-management skills. Ability to balance direct care with administrative supervision.
Success Factors:
- Lead by Example: Comfortable working side-by-side with direct care staff while holding the team accountable to high standards of care.
- Clear & Direct Communicator: Comfortable providing constructive feedback, setting boundaries, and maintaining open lines of communication across all disciplines.
- Resilient & Calm: Exercises sound judgment, maintains composure during challenging situations, and follows established safety protocols.
