What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Secretary/Receptionist position at Center for Elder Law & Estate Planning?
Small busy law firm south of Boston in need of a Legal Secretary. Responsible for:
- Answering the phone
- Sending correspondence by fax
- Preparing and sending mail for the office
- Preparing legal portfolios for clients
- Saving electronic information to client files
- Communicating with clients by phone and email
- Ordering office supplies
- Witness and date client documents
- Recording documents electronically at the Registry of Deeds
- Facilitate documents into and out of storage
- other miscellaneous tasks
Experience with drafting of estate planning documents and/or probate and guardianship/conservatorship forms preferred. Must have office management skills, strong communication skills. Must be able to work independently in a busy practice environment. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel necessary. Familiarity with Clio a plus. The ability to work well under pressure is a must.
Paralegal certificate preferred; college degree preferred. Please send resume with salary requirements.
