Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate appointment schedules for dental patients.
- Confirm and remind patients of their scheduled appointments via phone or text.
- Collect and input patient information into the practice management system accurately and promptly.
- Maintain and update records for patient appointments, cancellations, referrals, and reschedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients by addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Collaborate with dental staff to optimize scheduling and workflow within the practice.
- Assist with managing the schedule to minimize gaps and maximize efficiency of dental procedures.
Requirements
- MUST be coachable & willing to learn.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Proven experience in a scheduling role, preferably in a dental or medical setting.
- Familiarity with dental procedures and terminology.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in using appointment scheduling software (Dentrix) and electronic medical records systems.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
