Job Summary
The Center for Attachment & Trauma Services (CATS) invites independently licensed Virginia clinicians to contract with us to provide part-time, in-person services at our Burke, and/or Gainesville office.
This opportunity is well-suited for clinicians seeking flexibility and professional autonomy as independent contractors, with access to shared office space, referral coordination, and administrative infrastructure within a trauma-informed nonprofit setting.
CATS provides holistic, trauma-informed care that supports individuals and families in healing, building healthy relationships, and developing more secure attachments. Our work often serves children, teens, families, adults, couples, foster/adoptive families, kinship caregivers, and neurodivergent clients and families.
Overview
This contracting opportunity includes:
- Initial opportunity to coordinate approximately 3–6 client referrals, with potential to grow over time
- Ability to set your own availability in coordination with office space and client needs
- Ability to review and accept referrals based on clinical judgment, scope of practice, and availability
- Opportunity to maintain your independent professional role while providing services through CATS
Support Available
CATS can provide access to:
- Furnished office space in Gainesville, and/or Burke, VA
- EHR, records, billing, and administrative systems for CATS-coordinated services
- Referral coordination for private-pay and county-funded clients, when clinically appropriate and consistent with authorization and payer requirements
- Optional peer connection and consultation opportunities
- A mission-driven nonprofit setting focused on attachment, trauma, and relational healing
Qualifications
Interested clinicians should have:
- Active Virginia license, such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, licensed psychologist, or equivalent
- Professional liability insurance maintained by the contractor
- Experience or interest in attachment- and trauma-informed care
- Ability to provide in-person services at the Gainesville and/or our Burke office
Professional Responsibilities
Clinicians are responsible for the clinical services they provide, including timely documentation and compliance with applicable laws, ethical standards, payer requirements, service authorizations, and CATS’ procedures for records, billing, and services coordinated through CATS.
Compensation
Compensation is percentage-based and tied to eligible clinical revenue associated with services provided through CATS. Specific compensation details are discussed with qualified clinicians.
