Job Title: Clinical Director, Supervised Release
Job Summary:
CASES is a New York City non-profit organization at the forefront of alternative to incarceration programs and comprehensive services for criminal justice-involved populations. The Clinical Director is responsible for oversight and leadership of all clinical aspects of the Pretrial Services Department including staff training and development. We are seeking a seasoned mission-driven clinician with proven leadership, direct-service and supervision skills to assist our staff in delivering services to the highest standards of a court-based social service program.
CASES is seeking a Clinical Director who will provide leadership in staff learning and development with a particular emphasis on evidence-based practices and interventions that are appropriate for the varied populations the program serves including; youth, individuals with current or past criminal justice involvement, and individuals with a wide range of behavioral health needs. The Clinical Director will assist staff in utilizing approaches rooted in Trauma-informed Care, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) within a court mandated setting. The position will require educating, mentoring, and inspiring multi-disciplinary staff across the Pretrial Service Department’s four program sites. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Clinical Director will work closely with other senior managers in the department to ensure staff receive training, clinical supervision as well as ongoing guidance and support to assist in making progress with the most vulnerable individuals we serve.
Salary: The salary for the Clinical Director role is $90,000 - $100,000 per year.
Shift Hours: The Clinical Director, Supervised Release position is full-time, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid, Applicant will have one remote day per week after successfully completing the orientation period.
What you will be doing:
Leadership:
- Consult and collaborate with other members of the Leadership team to plan and refine clinical aspects of the program and enhance the overall participant experience
- Serve as a liaison to the Quality, Data & Analytics and Evaluation units to coordinate responses to emerging trends in clinical presentation that meet the needs of participants
- Identify and track key performance metrics that may be measured to evaluate quality and opportunities for improvements
- Provide clinical guidance and contributions to the Development team that assist in the prospecting and completion of funding proposals that enhance program services
- Represent the program at internal and external meetings with funders, government agencies and partner stakeholders to inform about best practices and innovative approaches
Training:
- Directly plan, guide and supervise the work of the Pretrial Training Coordinator and provide training coverage in their absence
- Coach and develop staff’s practice skills by providing live and virtual trainings on a variety of topics such as assessment, documentation, risk management and other areas
- Facilitate and participate in individual and group supervision to enable staff development and progress toward higher levels of professional licensure
Clinical Services:
- Responsible for the development and implementation of evidence-based approaches within the department, including the coordination of new initiatives designed to improve services to participants and the work quality of direct service staff
- Serve as a liaison and resource to the Pretrial affiliated treatment teams by holding regular meetings with their clinicians and peers to ensure seamless collaboration to case coordination teams
- Collaborate with site managers in facilitating high-risk and high-profile meetings to support positive outcomes for participants who present with complex needs
- Provide expert clinical consultation to direct-service staff and supervisors in multiple formats that is consistent with the organization’s mission, vision and values
What we are looking for:
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Mental Health Counseling with a minimum of five years of relevant direct service experience
- Actively licensed and registered in NYS as a Clinical Psychologist, LCSW, or LMHC-D
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize duties, problem solve, meet deadlines, work well under pressure and maintain a positive, enthusiastic work ethic
- Minimum 2-3 years of management experience within a social service or government funded program
- Documented experience training staff in a social service setting
- Knowledge and ability to apply Evidenced-based approaches to appropriate clinical situations in a mandated program setting
- Possess strong communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with staff, court and community stakeholders as well as external entities
- Availability to work during established program times and travel to various program sites across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx
- Strong foundation in CBT, Trauma-informed Care, Crisis Response and Cultural Competency
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- Knowledge of and commitment to social justice within the Criminal Legal System
Additional, preferred skills we are looking for but are not required:
- Bilingual Spanish and English strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Salesforce database
