Position Overview
The School Operations Coordinator (SOC) plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth, compliant, and effective operations of Center City PCS. Based at the Central Office and reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the SOC will lead or support key operational areas, including meals service, student enrollment, and transportation management/field trip scheduling, while also contributing to other operational functions as needed.
This role may be elevated to Senior School Operations Coordinator for candidates with extensive prior experience in school operations, project management, or related fields.

Key Responsibilities
Enrollment & Student Information
- Manage the student enrollment and re-enrollment processes in alignment with DC Public Charter School Board (DC PCSB), Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), and MySchoolDC requirements.
- Partner with the Student Information Systems (SIS) Manager to ensure accuracy of student data across all platforms, including demographics, attendance, and compliance records.
- Lead or support the completion of annual enrollment audit submissions, MySchoolDC reporting, and other regulatory documentation.
- Manage all aspects of EdFest participation, including planning, logistics, family engagement, and associated compliance requirements.
- Manage all enrollment marketing initiatives, including development of videos, digital campaigns, print collateral, and family-facing communications.
- Serve as a key point of contact for campuses and families, providing clear communication and guidance throughout the enrollment process.
- Oversee compliance with the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and the Healthy Schools Act, in coordination with OSSE.
- Assess and complete the OSSE NSLP bidding process to source vendors as needed, and provide critical feedback to determine best fit for the organization.
- Monitor vendor performance, troubleshoot service disruptions, and ensure timely, high-quality meal delivery across campuses.
- Collect, track, and report meal service data in partnership with the central office and school-based teams.
- Maintain and monitor meal service specialist credentialing to ensure compliance with OSSE, DC Health, and federal requirements.
- Oversee all aspects of bus management, including scheduling, driver assignments, and coordination with schools.
- Ensure proper maintenance, inspection, and compliance of school buses, including licensing, legal documents, and safety requirements.
- Supervise and support bus drivers, ensuring alignment with organizational expectations and operational needs.
- Maintain centralized calendars and systems to ensure coordination across campuses and prevent conflicts.
- Provide logistical support for large-scale events, including performances, sporting events, and community events.
- Support purchasing processes, including order tracking, vendor management, and invoice reconciliation.
- Partner with the Finance team to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
- Carry out additional responsibilities to support smooth Central Office and campus operations as assigned by the COO.

- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3–5 years of relevant operations, compliance, or project management experience accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience in Pre-K to 8 education strongly preferred.
- Experience in marketing, communications, or transportation management strongly preferred.
- Senior-level consideration given to candidates with 5 years of experience and demonstrated success in leading complex logistics, compliance, or procurement functions.
- Full-time, 12-month, exempt position.
- Based at Central Office, with moderate travel to campuses via personal vehicle or public transportation
