Responsibilities
- Monitor premises using CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure security protocols are followed.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property, including building interiors, exteriors, and surrounding areas, to identify potential security risks or hazards.
- Control access points by verifying identities, performing background checks when necessary, and managing entry logs with precision.
- Respond swiftly to incidents or emergencies by following established procedures, including fire safety protocols and emergency response actions.
- Write detailed incident reports accurately documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual occurrences for future reference.
- Perform first aid and CPR when needed, providing immediate assistance in medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
- Utilize law enforcement techniques and conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations effectively while maintaining professionalism.
Skills
- Proven experience in physical security, law enforcement, or military roles with a strong understanding of security operations.
- Proficiency in operating access control systems, CCTV cameras (surveillance), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), Taser devices, and firearm handling where applicable.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures, fire safety regulations, heavy lifting techniques, and manual handling practices.
- Ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough security screenings with attention to detail.
- Excellent conflict de-escalation and conflict management skills to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly with visitors, staff, and emergency responders.
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and compliance with security regulations is highly desirable.
