Cenovus Lima Refinery is now hiring for a Machinist role where the successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of pumps, compressors, turbines and refinery rotating equipment and systems. The duties for this position will be performed in an outdoor process facility under the direction of the Maintenance and Construction Department. Skills must be demonstrated prior to the job being awarded. The Machinist must be willing to work overtime as needed.

What you’ll do:
- Perform preventive maintenance on refinery equipment and systems to support reliable operation
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment as required
- Respond to unplanned maintenance issues and breakdowns
- Support refinery operations to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards
- Work assigned overtime, including random and draftable overtime, as operational needs require
- Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures
- Legally authorized to work in the US
- High School Diploma or GED required. A technical degree or Journeyman's Certification in a related field considered an asset
- Valid driver's license
- Experience in refining, petroleum, transportation or closely related work environment considered an asset
- Working knowledge of computer operating systems, MS Office Applications, various software programs, and diagnostic software
- Individuals must be prepared to work safely, work outside, work at significant heights and have the willingness and ability to work overtime within hazardous environments
