Title: Finance – Associate, Production Finance

Responsibilities:
Work closely with cross-functional partners, including Content Planning, Production, Business Affairs, Post-Production, Creative, Tax, and Content Accounting, to perform necessary Production Finance functions.
Collaborate with Production Accountants, production services companies, and Producers.
Process show funding and talent payments in accordance with deals and schedules.
Accounts Payable: Review, verify and process show invoices as needed.
Track show fundings/talent payments/invoices and schedules.
Assist with supplier and vendor setups.
Track budget drafts and notes and perform comparative analysis when required.
Assist with data reconciliation for consolidated Production Finance reporting.
Prepare and record journal entries in the accounting system.
Review and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Ensure production cost reports are submitted on time, and prior to scheduled cost report meetings.
Assist with tracking and forecasting development costs.
Onboard production services company accounting teams to client policies and procedures.
Update show-related information in client systems.
Assist with auditing select production accounts payable, journal entry, and payroll records.
Ad hoc projects and analysis as needed.
Role Context:
- Supporting animated series (preschool, kids, large-scale animation)
- Productions can be ~$60M budgets
- Backfill due to someone going on leave mid-April → overlap needed for knowledge transfer
- Candidate must be available to start by early February

Skills & Experience Calibration:
- Financial modeling importance: 6–7 out of 10 (Helpful, but not a deal breaker)
- Strong spreadsheet analysis skills
- Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple moving pieces
- Comfortable in a changing, fast-paced production environment
Seniority & Pay:
- Open to more senior candidates if within range
- Higher pay rates acceptable for strong animation production experience
Estimated range:
- $40–$45/hour for more senior profiles.
