GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The GoldStar Trust Company (GTC) Digital and Business Analyst uses analytics to deliver actionable insights and support data driven decisions across the company. Oversees GoldStar's digital marketing including web properties and online user experience. Responsible for driving process innovation through technology, including automation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Works with GoldStar Management, Sales, and Operations to define data sources and measurement methods. This duty is performed daily.

2. Develops governance and processes for establishing business data needs and definitions. This duty is performed daily.

3. Ensures the accuracy of data to be measured. This duty is performed daily.

4. Creates predictive models using established data sources. This duty is performed as needed.

5. Creates and manage KPI-driven dashboards to be used across the enterprise. This duty is performed as needed.

6. Establishes data warehouse management processes with HSB Data Services team. This duty is performed as needed.

7. Provides Business Development and Operations with actionable insights into employee performance, process efficiency, quality,  partner activity/value, and industry trends. This duty is performed as needed.

8. Creates and manages content for digital properties based upon defined business needs. This duty is performed as needed.

9. Establishes methods for effective digital outreach to customers, clients, and prospects. This duty is performed daily.

10. Works with technology and marketing partners to support strategic initiatives that deliver well defined customer interactions for all internal and external customers. This duty is performed as needed.

11. Develops effective digital marketing methods for GoldStar products and services. This duty is performed as needed.

12. Creates internal content and visuals that drive understanding of Operational, Business Development, and Management goals. This duty is performed as needed.

13. Ensures cross-device compatibility of digital content. This duty is performed as needed.

14. Works with HSB Marketing to maximize efficiencies and ensure best practices are observed for GTC content. This duty is performed as needed.

15. Continuously researches new technologies and determine applicability to GoldStar. This duty is performed as needed.

16. Develops a process innovation roadmap that includes initiatives like CRM, automation, system enhancements, 3rd party add-ons, in partnership with Business Development and Operations. This duty is performed as needed.

17. Works with Management to ensure proper prioritization of initiatives. This duty is performed as needed.

18. Completes required Annual BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed quarterly.

19. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily.

20. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 5 years related experience and/or training, and 2 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, notes, letters and memos; ability to write simple correspondence. ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. ability to read, analyze, and understand common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; ability to respond to complex or difficult inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities may include but not limited to interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Supervises a moderate size group (8-15) of employees, but possibly smaller if difficult, semi-techical work, requiring considerable direction and assistance, is involved. Plans, directs and coordinates work, makes decisions, and performs personally the more difficult aspects of the same broad assignment.
