Job Description
Cellulose Material Solutions, LLC (CMS) a fast growing, local manufacturing company, producing innovative products from recycled fibers for multiple industries, located in Jenison, MI, has a job opportunity for a full-time plant Preventative Maintenance Technician on 3rd shift.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for Preventative Maintenance tasks as assigned
- Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly PM's
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
- Must have some electrical trouble shooting experience. Controls Systems.
- Knowledge of the following equipment: packaging equipment, shredding equipment, belt conveyors, water pumps, pneumatic conveying equipment, and air filter equipment.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment. Hydraulics knowledge
Education & Experience
- Experience includes welding, electrical trouble shooting, preventative maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic experience and installing and maintaining large manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Candidates must have the flexibility for an off shift. 3rd shift premium ($2/per hour) apply.
- Ability to operate various types of equipment including forklift, platform lift, etc. Operates welder, plasma cutter and cutting torch.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools necessary.
- Good Housekeeping and organization skills needed.
- Fabrication of parts and components for production equipment.
- Additional jobs as requested by management.
