Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices across various operating systems including Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows.
- Perform repairs on device components such as screens, batteries, charging ports, and internal hardware using hand tools and electrical soldering techniques.
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting for software problems, including operating system errors, app conflicts, and connectivity issues.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to analyze device circuitry and identify faults efficiently.
- Support customers with smartphone troubleshooting support, printer and copier repairs, and general IT support for consumer electronics.
- Maintain detailed repair logs, documentation of troubleshooting steps, and inventory of replacement parts.
- Assist in training team members on new repair techniques and technological updates to stay current with industry standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in working with multiple operating systems such as Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, and related software troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and mobile device repair techniques.
- Skilled in soldering electrical components for hardware repairs requiring precision soldering skills.
- Experience with consumer electronics repair including printers, copiers, and other peripheral devices.
- Ability to read schematics accurately for troubleshooting complex electronic circuits.
- Excellent analysis skills to diagnose issues quickly and determine effective solutions.
- Hands-on experience with field service tasks involving mobile devices and technical support in retail or on-site environments.
- Familiarity with using hand tools for equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in operating systems, hardware maintenance, and IT support roles.
