The Director, Commercial Operations will build and lead Celldex commercial operations function, ensuring flawless execution of launch readiness and commercialization strategies. This individual will develop infrastructure, lead core operational projects, and partner cross-functionally to enable a high-performing commercial organization.
Reporting directly into the Vice President of US Marketing and Commercial Operations, this individual will work cross-functionally with HCP Marketing, Insights & Analytics, Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and external agency partners to ensure that Celldex delivers a lean and highly effective commercial infrastructure inclusive of people, process and technology.

The expected base salary range for this position is $176,659 to $229,427.
We are committed to compensating employees equitably based on several factors including experience, education, licensure/certifications, skill level, location of the position, and availability of similar talent in a competitive market.
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary bonus, long term incentive, 401(K) plan with employer contribution, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), paid holidays, vacation, and sick days. Responsibilities
Commercial Operations Leadership
- Build, lead, and manage the commercial operations function to support launch readiness and ongoing commercial execution.
- Develop a scalable operational infrastructure aligned with the organization's growth strategy.
- Develop, implement, and manage the commercial drug sampling program in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, IT, Compliance, and Medical Affairs to align operational strategies and execution.
- Serve as a strategic business partner, providing insights and data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
- Partner with IT to design and execute U.S. marketing and sales technology platforms to support launch activities.
- Deploy, optimize, and oversee the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to enable effective field operations, data insights, and customer engagement.
- Oversee system administration and process optimization for Legal, Medical, and Regulatory (LMR) review and approvals.
- Oversee field team operations including internal meeting logistics, planning, and execution.
- Lead design and execution of field fleet programs supporting effective regional coverage.
- Partner with Sales leadership on incentive compensation (IC) design, implementation, and ongoing measurement and reporting.
- Ensure clear, consistent, and effective field communications across all commercial team members.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7 years of commercial experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- 3 years of direct experience in a commercial operations leadership role with direct responsibility over Field Incentive Compensation.
- Demonstrated success supporting or leading a biotech product launch preferred.
- Deep understanding of U.S. commercial operations infrastructure, including CRM, data systems, sales operations, and compliance processes.
- Experience in building teams and infrastructure from the ground up in a pre-commercial or early-stage organization is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional project teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and build strong relationships across the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and strategic alignment.
