Marketing Project Manager (Onsite)

Location: Tempe, AZ (100% Onsite)

Job Type: Contract

Compensation Range: $45 - 50 per hour

As a Senior Marketing Project Manager, you will manage multiple complex initiatives in a fast-paced, global environment while championing and enforcing our marketing operating model. You will be the go-to expert for your programs and projects with in-depth knowledge of timelines, deliverables, stakeholders, statuses, controls, communications, and Workfront data health.

This position requires a blend of campaign and traditional project management proficiency, marketing process and Workfront expertise, and strong collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

• Creates and actively manages comprehensive project plans including workback schedules, stakeholder mapping, project communications, deliverables storage, and Workfront entries.
• Looks for synergies and efficiencies across projects and makes connections across the organization.
• Acts as sole owner and source of truth for each project - the project's context, stakeholders, statuses, controls, communications, timelines, artifacts (e.g., marketing briefs, project plans), and Workfront data health.
• Schedules all required meetings, creative reviews, and weekly project forums and consistently sends timely, well-informed agendas with clear meeting purpose/outcome and actionable meeting recaps with accurate next steps and owners.
• Drives and tracks every project deliverable in detail and stays on top of deadlines to flag 'at risk' items, outlining repercussions of not making deadlines while knowing when to escalate issues to senior management.
• Communicates to the entire project team every step of the way throughout the project on the status of deliverables.
• Sets up Workfront projects for resourcing, reporting, and audit purposes, and keeps the projects updated in real-time (documentation, updates, task completions, assignments, dates, etc.)
• Remains highly organized and responsive to the needs of their projects, providing immediate follow-up to all communications and superior service to stakeholders.
• Comes to every project status meeting prepared and ready to drive the call confidently and efficiently, informing project team members where deliverables are at and what needs to be done next (and by when).
• Champions the marketing operating model by guiding projects and project teams through the model and provides recommendations for process and operating model improvements.
• Is a team player who steps in where and however needed to keep things progressing.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills.
• Candidate must possess all of the below minimum requirements to be considered:
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing project management.
• Deep understanding of, or direct experience in, financial institutions or other highly regulated companies.
• Proven track record of success and dependability in managing multiple complex global marketing projects.
• Ability to confidently lead project meetings including large groups of people, senior leaders, and stakeholders.
• Extreme attention to detail with exceptional organization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, speaking, and writing skills that enable you to break down complex business problems and workflows into manageable components.
• Resourcefulness and self-sufficiency with the ability to figure things out quickly without help or explanation from others.
• Strong understanding of standard creative deliverables and how they're developed/executed, such as social media, content development, video, branding, paid media, websites, etc.
• Strong familiarity with, or experience using, Adobe Workfront or similar project management tools.
• Comfortable proactively soliciting feedback and reacts productively to criticism or negative feedback.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business management / administration OR a current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Prior experience in marketing agency environments.
