Digital Accessibility Specialist (Contract, Hybrid)

This strategic opportunity as a Digital Accessibility Specialist empowers a subject matter expert to shape enterprise-level accessibility standards, advising cross-functional teams rather than writing routine code. Partner with executive leadership to embed inclusive practices into every stage of the product life cycle while driving meaningful business impact.Instead of performing hands-on code remediation, you will serve as an advisor-analyzing audit findings, providing actionable remediation instructions, creating code snippets, and supporting both internal testers and product teams. You will also build strong relationships with business and technical leadership, conduct engaging training sessions, and build reporting dashboards to track progress across initiatives. Responsibilities:Program & Policy Building: Help establish, scale, and maintain digital accessibility standards, governance, and internal guidance across product teams.Agile & Scrum Integration: Engage directly with product scrum teams throughout the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) to embed accessibility requirements and eliminate roadblocks.SME Guidance & Remediation Strategy: Review audit findings and provide clear remediation instructions, guidance, and example code snippets to development teams.Jira & Analytics Management: Build Jira dashboards, monitor reporting metrics, analyze data, and prioritize accessibility tickets across workstreams.Stakeholder Engagement & Training: Partner with business and tech leadership, develop presentation materials, and lead public training sessions to build accessibility awareness and expertise.Process & Support Operations: Utilize ServiceNow / Service Desk tools to manage workflows, support auditors/testers, and continuously refine reporting metrics to track program improvements.Qualifications:Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree required, with proven experience building or scaling a digital accessibility program.Accessibility Expertise: Deep knowledge of WCAG standards, ADA, Section 508, PDF/UA, and common accessibility barriers across web and mobile platforms.Technical & Code Familiarity: Strong understanding of front-end web structures (HTML, ARIA, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Java, .NET) with the ability to inspect code and supply remediation code snippets.Screen Reader & Tooling Skills: Hands-on familiarity with desktop (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) and mobile (Talkback, VoiceOver) assistive technologies, alongside UI design tools like Figma.Advanced Jira & Tools Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in Jira (building dashboards, tracking metrics, reporting analytics) and experience with ServiceNow / Service Desk.Agile & Leadership Communication: Strong project/product management mindset with proven experience in Agile environments and the confidence to present, train, and liaise with senior leadership.Equipment / Onsite Requirement: Ability to work onsite on Mondays and Tuesdays using a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) set up connected via VPN.Contractor will have to pay for their own parking on Mondays and Tuesdays.#PL#LI-CELLA#LI-HH1Skills:AJAX,CSS, Figma, HTML, JAWS, Jira, Java, JavaScript, screen readers, ARIA, WCAG, multi-task, strong attention to detail, communication, excellent written and verbal communication, creative problem-solving, critical thinking, High degree of initiative, results-oriented, part of a team, VoiceOver, Innovative thinker, Product Development Life Cycle, strategic partner, usabilityEqual Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.At Cella, a randstad digital company, we welcome people of all abilities and want to ensure that our hiring and interview process meets the needs of all applicants.
