Community Manager and Brand Engagement Associate

Location/Format: Hybrid (Minimum of 3 days per week onsite in the New York, NY office)|

Duration: 1-year W2 contract

Compensation Range: $29 - 34 per hour

Cella is seeking a dynamic and culturally-attuned Community Manager / Brand Engagement Associate on behalf of a global leader in the beauty and cosmetics industry. This unique opportunity allows you to act as the ultimate trend forecaster and voice for an iconic household brand, turning real-time social media moments into high-impact brand love. Responsibilities:

In a typical day in the life of this role, you will manage day-to-day community outreach, influencer advocacy, and social listening strategies:

• Social Listening & Trend Translation: Act as the internal trend forecaster by monitoring TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube to identify emerging routines, sounds, and aesthetics before they peak, translating these insights into fast, brand-right engagement strategies.
• Influencer Advocacy & Gifting Execution: Concept and execute high-touch, share-worthy bespoke gifting campaigns for VIP and macro-influencers. This includes hands-on, in-office curation of themes, packing premium boxes, and coordinating large-scale product seeding programs with PR agencies.
• Reactive Outreach: Monitor social platforms in real-time to identify viral moments or personal creator milestones (e.g., weddings, graduations) where the brand can authentically participate and surprise creators.
• Community Management: Foster organic brand love by responding to direct messages and comments across platforms using a witty, helpful, and distinct brand persona. Identify high-quality User Generated Content (UGC) to amplify across brand channels.
• Operations & Inventory Logistics: Liaise between internal marketing teams and external PR agencies to manage talent lists, handle product ordering, maintain the social gifting closet inventory, and track the budget/ROI of brand engagement efforts.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Social Media Literacy: Must be a "social native" with a deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, creator culture, and modern online engagement strategies.
• Professional Experience: 2-4 years of experience in community management, social media marketing, PR, or influencer relations, preferably within beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer packaged goods (CPG).
• Communication & Persona Adaptation: Exceptional creative writing and communication skills, with a proven ability to adopt and maintain a specific, distinct brand voice across public and private digital channels.
• Operational Agility & Project Management: Strong organizational skills to seamlessly pivot from high-level creative strategy to execution-heavy tasks like managing inventory, packing premium custom mailers, and tracking shipping logistics.
• Creative Aesthetic: A keen visual eye for what performs well on camera, from the physical presentation of curated gifting boxes to the layout of user-generated content.
• Onsite Availability: Ability to work onsite in the New York, NY office at least 3 days per week.
