We are a modern, locally & privately owned small animal general practice with a welcoming, community‑focused atmosphere. Our small team is currently comprised of two DVMS (practice owners), two Veterinary Technicians, one Client Service Representative, and one Veterinary Technician Assistant. We have a supportive, team-oriented culture. We enjoy interacting with each other as well as with the clients and their pets.
We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician. Our veterinary technicians are a vital piece of our care team. They provide support to our vets in delivering high-quality, hands on care to our patients. They also provide support to our clients by answering their questions, educating and making recommendations for their pet’s care, and being a shoulder to lean on during the tough visits.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care
- Perform hands-on technical procedures including but not limited to venipuncture, IV catheter placement, sample collection, intubation, radiographs, and basic wound cleaning/bandaging
- Deliver compassionate nursing care including restraint, administering medications, wound care, and patient monitoring.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Conduct in house laboratory tests and analyze samples and prepare laboratory samples for the reference lab
- Perform some medical grooming care, like nail trims, anal gland expression, and ear cleaning
Surgery and Anesthesia
- Ability to induce, maintain, monitor, and recover patients from anesthesia, including observing & recording of vital signs and responding to any changes or complications. You must be comfortable running & monitoring anesthesia.
- Perform dental prophylaxis (cleaning and polishing) and obtain dental radiographs
- Assist with equipment and instrument maintenance, cleaning, and sterilization
General Tasks
- Obtain patient history
- Go over pricing estimates with owners and receive approval of services
- Keep the exam rooms, treatment area, and surgical area clean
- Educate pet owners on a variety of topics like preventive care, how to give prescribed medications, and post-operative instructions
- Clearly communicate with clients and participate as a collaborative member of our team
- Enjoy teaching and training veterinary technician assistants in restraint, grooming care, venipuncture, etc.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Previous hands-on experience as a veterinary technician in a clinical setting (minimum 1 year)
- Proven ability to run and monitor anesthesia, including patient assessment and post-op recovery
- Proficiency in surgical prep, including intubation, clipping and scrubbing, and setting up anesthetic monitors
- Ability to collaborate with the rest of the care team to ensure efficient workflow and continuity of care
- Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, work on the floor, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Clinic Hours:
- Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 5:30 pm with our first appointment beginning at 8:00 am
- 4 day work week (full time, 36 hours per week) or 3 day work week (part time, 27 hours per week)
- No weekend, after hours, or overnight duties
- No boarding or true grooming services offered (we do not offer bathing or full grooming)
