Join our team as an Industrial Maintenance Technician. This position positively impacts our extrusion and compounding processes by maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
Responsibilities
- Determining the cause of equipment breakdowns; fixing the issues within scope of role. When necessary, escalating issues to the appropriate next level including ideas for resolving the problem.
- Responding to work orders and unplanned maintenance requests during shift.
- Regularly using hand tools, powered tools, electronic testing equipment or other means to repair breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, complete work orders and check equipment.
- Following scheduled preventive maintenance procedures and reporting any necessary repairs that fall outside of preventative maintenance.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Completing documentation related to closing work orders and equipment testing.
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable Industrial Maintenance work experience preferred.
- Experience in the following areas preferred:
- Troubleshooting manufacturing equipment including welding, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Experience using computers for documentation
- Welding and machinist experience
- Mechanical aptitude including experience with industrial electronics, IE: 3 phase motors, motor control systems, AC and DC drives, PLC's, heater controls, HMI, etc.
- Ability to prioritize work as well as work well with others
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Environmental and physical requirements of this position include but aren’t limited to:
- Overtime
- Working at elevated heights
- Standing, walking and climbing stairs and ladders
- Regular crouching
- Ability to wear a partial respirator to protect against dust and fumes
