Training Program Developer — Contract | Phoenix, AZ (On-Site)
We're working with a major energy organization in the Phoenix area to find a contract Training Program Developer/Instructional Designer to build out a comprehensive project manager training program for their Capital Projects team.

What You'll Be Doing
Training Program Developer — Contract | Phoenix, AZ (On-Site)
We're working with a major energy organization in the Phoenix area to find a contract Training Program Developer/Instructional Designer to build out a comprehensive project manager training program for their Capital Projects team.

What You'll Be Doing
- Conducting discovery conversations with subject matter experts to understand existing materials and organizational needs
- Developing and organizing onboarding checklists, training slides, and system access documentation
- Building differentiated training tracks for new external hires and internal transfers at varying experience levels (PM 1 through PM 4)
- Creating qualification cards to demonstrate competency in project lifecycle milestones like kickoff meetings and constructability reviews
- Structuring a cohesive, repeatable training program from materials that currently exist but lack organization and implementation strategy
- Capital projects execution experience — industrial or plant background required; this is not a general training role
- Strong ability to work independently, conduct discovery conversations, and translate knowledge into polished deliverables
- Deep understanding of project lifecycle methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; this role is built around face-to-face collaboration
- Must be available 40 hours per week, fully on-site in Phoenix — no remote or hybrid
- PMP certification strongly preferred
- Experience with CBT software (tools that convert PowerPoint into automated training modules)
- Familiarity with Maximo or similar enterprise project/asset management systems
- Background in power generation or utilities
- Local to Phoenix strongly preferred; per diem considered for the right candidate
- Full-time, 40 hrs/week
