CEIS | Clover Leaf is looking for a Project Engineer to support large-scale data center and advanced industrial construction projects. The Project Engineer serves as a critical liaison between the client, the Project Manager, and subcontractors to ensure the project progresses safely, accurately, and efficiently from initial planning through final closeout. This role oversees the technical and administrative functions that drive project executionincluding document control, submittals, RFIs, procurement, schedule support, and issue resolutionwhile maintaining strict compliance with contract requirements, specifications, and safety standards. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, collaborative, proactive, and capable of supporting fast-paced, multidisciplinary construction environments.

Responsibilities
- Maintain all project documentationincluding RFIs, specifications, addenda, drawings, and construction recordsin both hard-copy and digital formats.
- Prepare, review, and distribute RFIs, submittals, and contract documents in a timely manner, ensuring full alignment with contract requirements.
- Support procurement by purchasing materials, tracking deliveries, and verifying compliance with specifications, pricing, and quality expectations.
- Assist the Project Manager in executing the project within established financial boundaries, including monitoring costs and tracking vendor/subcontractor billings.
- Develop, update, and manage project schedules; ensure that field operations align with key milestones and critical path activities.
- Ensure subcontracts are executed and insurance requirements are met; clearly define scopes of work and responsibilities across multiple trades.
- Review subcontractor and vendor payment applications for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain and monitor the procurement log to prevent schedule delays and material shortages.
- Perform quantity takeoffs to validate change orders and assess the legitimacy of subcontractor cost impacts.
- Manage the project closeout matrix, including punch list resolution, warranty documentation, O&M manuals, and owner turnover deliverables.
- Support preconstruction, coordination, and field integration activities in partnership with the PM and Superintendent.
- Conduct safety walkdowns and support compliance with CEIS, client, and OSHA safety standards.
- Assist with any additional duties necessary to support project objectives and overall team success.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (not required with equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in construction or a related project engineer role is preferred; data center or industrial project experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word), PDF software, and construction document management tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse personality types and team structures.
- High degree of emotional intelligence, professionalism, and customer service orientation.
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
