- Must have 3-4 years of experience managing a weld program at a nuclear plant
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
- Certification as a CWB Welding Engineer or Supervisor is a plus.
- Responsible for managing the weld program on site.
- Develop welding techniques and procedures based on production specs, metal properties, and welding principles.
- Review and evaluate RFQs, RFPs, and contracts for welding and PWHT specifications.
- Interpret drawings, codes, and standards, and communicate findings to project teams.
- Design and implement fixtures for welding processes in production.
- Prepare and maintain Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) instructions and related databases.
- Manage welder qualifications for field and shop personnel as needed.
- Stay current with new technologies and integrate them into projects.
- Collaborate with craft labor and supervision to optimize welding parameters and equipment.
- Create and review weld procedures to ensure compliance with customer and jurisdictional requirements.
- Register PQRs with local authorities and approve supplier-generated welding and heat treatment procedures.
