- Design change packages — develop scope, inputs, technical evaluations, installation instructions, and test requirements for piping, pipe supports, equipment mounting, seismic qualifications, and foundations.
- Engineering calculations & specs — create and revise complex calculations, design specifications, technical requirement documents, and safety evaluations.
- Field & implementation support — provide field engineering during installation, process work order reviews, corrective action assignments, and facilitate turnover to Operations. Occasional off-hours support required.
- Regulatory documents & drawings — revise design basis documents, design drawings, and regulatory submittals impacted by engineering changes.
- BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent with relevant experience)
- 2 years nuclear industry experience, including Civil/Structural design modification work
- Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear facility access (GET, Radiation Worker, Security, FFD)
- Familiarity with nuclear industry standard design processes; must qualify as Modification Engineer and Design Verification Engineer
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Prior design engineering experience at Brunswick Nuclear Plant specifically
- 10CFR50.59 experience for nuclear facility modifications
- 10 years of discipline experience with subject matter expertise
