Key Responsibilities
- Perform field audits on coax, fiber, and cable infrastructure, including both underground and aerial/pole?mounted plant.
- Review and interpret design maps to validate construction accuracy.
- Identify and differentiate cable types, equipment, and materials; may be asked to verify via photos during interviews.
- Assess construction work completed by contractors and internal crews to ensure compliance with construction standards and project specifications.
- Confirm that completed work aligns with what the company is contractually paying for.
- Document findings, prepare reports, and communicate discrepancies or required corrections.
- Maintain a consistent field presence (approx. 80% field / 20% office).
- Travel daily within assigned region; occasional overnight travel as needed.
- Experience in cable construction, including coax and fiber optic plant.
- Ability to identify cable types, equipment, and construction methods for both aerial and underground installations.
- Strong ability to read and interpret design maps and construction drawings.
- Familiarity with utility poles, aerial plant identification, and underground infrastructure.
- Reliable, dependable transportation suitable for daily field travel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- General construction experience is highly beneficial.
- Monday–Friday, standard daytime hours.
- Field?based role with daily travel; occasional overnight stays may be required.
