What will you be doing in this role:

The Senior Art Director works on projects that span the Cedars-Sinai brand. From 30 second spots, to breakthrough web experiences, the Senior Art Director takes on every challenge our fast paced brand faces. They possess strong design fundamentals and have outstanding taste. They are passionate about culture and are motivated to make work that makes a difference in people’s lives.

Collaborates and works cross-functionally with collaborators in Marketing and Communications as well as with external partners throughout Cedars-Sinai. Works collaboratively with other members of the team to manage priorities, workflows and shared responsibilities to deliver wide range of assets.

• Creative Studio - Partners closely with copywriters to develop digital content and campaigns. Orchestrate and is responsible for the art direction and design of marketing campaigns and design projects; responsible for crafting the design strategy, maintaining design quality, adhering to internal style guides, and ensuring that design projects align with Cedars-Sinai's objectives and brand identity.
• Creative Studio - Collaborates with the creative team to establish a standard of visual excellence, pushing the boundaries of design and visual storytelling across all mediums. Generates creative concepts with copywriters to create visually innovative design that align with objectives and deliver impactful visual efficiencies. Collaborates cross-functionally and with collaborators to ensure creative alignment, secure agreement, and deliver impactful, results-driven visual storytelling.
• Creative Studio - Leads and encourages to make a difference in the lives of our B2B and B2C audiences with strong ideas and strong execution. Ensures that all projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standards of quality. Stays ahead of emerging design trends, technologies, and creative techniques. Integrate these advancements into the team's work to ensure that Cedars-Sinai stands out in the industry.
• External Communications - Edits cleanly produced, accurate news video stories about patients, research, programs, faculty and other aspects of Cedars-Sinai. Supports External Communications team members with video support, training and mentorship as needed.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

Five (5) plus years of experience in writing, editing, developing, and delivering in-depth content or related communications.

Outstanding writing and research skills; ability to ensure accuracy and avoid errors, including spelling, grammar, usage, logic, design and layout.

External Communications - Proven ability to deliver focused, on-target video. Exceptional video writing and production skills.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Design, Art, Advertising, or a related field.
