Maintenance Assistant - Part Time

Cedarcrest provides specialized care for children with complex medical and developmental needs. As a Part-Time Maintenance Assistant, you'll help ensure our facility remains a safe, clean, and comfortable place for the children, families, and staff who rely on it every day.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform general maintenance and minor repairs throughout the building

• Assist with painting projects, including preparing surfaces, applying coats, and using appropriate signage

• Help maintain clean and safe entrances during snowstorms and inclement weather

• Support upkeep of Cedarcrest vehicles with scheduled cleanings

• Report any maintenance concerns or safety issues to the Facilities Manager or Maintenance Supervisor

• Keep tools and supplies organized and workspaces tidy

• Follow established safety protocols and procedures at all times

Qualifications: 

• Basic knowledge of building maintenance, painting, and repair techniques

• Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively

• Reliable, self-directed, and detail-oriented

• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to assist with snow removal and outdoor duties as needed

• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
