Band Camp Trumpet Instructor
The Cedar Springs High School Marching Band has an immediate opening for a Band Camp Trumpet Instructor for the week of band camp, July 31-August 4, 2023, with the possibility to be a brass, visual, or marching instructor for the entirety of the season.
Employment will begin July 31, pending completion of the Human Resources meeting and completion of all required paperwork.
Responsibilities:
- Attendance at band camp
- Instruction of fundamental playing skills, show music, marching fundamentals, and show drill to the trumpet section.
- Creating a positive environment for the students to achieve excellence
- Complete all paperwork in a timely fashion
Qualifications:
- Experience marching in high school, at the collegiate level, in winter activities, or DCI preferred
- Previous successful marching band instruction at the high school level
- Extensive knowledge of trumpet/brass technique and instruction
- Ability to establish working relationships with co-workers and function as part of a cohesive team
- Able to have effective and positive communication with students, staff members and directors
- Responsible, professional, embodies high ethical standards and integrity
Pay will be $10.25 per hour.
