What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Admissions position at Cedar Springs Hospital - Colorado Springs?
The Director of Admissions oversees both the clinical and administrative tasks related to the Admission Department. This position provides clinical direction in psychiatric and chemical dependency assessment services including evaluation, crisis intervention, and referrals. The director interfaces closely with administration, medical staff and other hospital departments. The Director of Admissions and Referral is accountable for managing the Assessment and Referral department and operations. Must possess a working knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, addiction and recovery, treatment planning and experience in patient assessment and clinical interview. Must be able to communicate effectively with external review organizations and insurance providers. Complete knowledge of crisis intervention techniques required. Additionally, must be able to communicate professionally with persons of diverse backgrounds.
Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, mental health or a related field.
Licensure: RN, LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LPCC or applicable license.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting; one (1) year of leadership experience managing a related function, preferred.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
