What are the responsibilities and job description for the Band - Marching Tech (2 positions) position at Cedar Springs High School?
REPORTS TO: Band Director
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The Cedar Springs High School Marching Band has an immediate opening for two Marching Instructors for the entirety of the 2026 marching band season. Must be a current employee of EduStaff or willing to become an employee of EduStaff.
Employment will begin August 3, pending completion of Edustaff registration and all required paperwork.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attendance at all band functions
- Assist with show design
- Instruction of fundamental playing skills, show music, marching fundamentals, and show drill
- Creating a positive, while challenging and competitive environment for students to achieve excellence
- Complete all paperwork in a timely fashion
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in marching in high school, at the collegiate level, in winter activities, or DCI preferred
- Previous successful marching band instruction at the high school level
- Extensive knowledge of marching band technique and instruction
- Ability to establish working relationships with co-workers and function as part of a cohesive team
- Able to have effective and positive communication with students, staff members, and directors
- Responsible, professional, embodies high ethical standards and integrity
