Essential Duties:
- Greets visitors to the HR/Finance office and assists as needed.
- Responsible for coordinatizing the hiring process, job postings, and recruiting for assigned work areas.
- Performs administrative tasks for the HR Department and the HR Director as assigned.
- Responds to requests for assistance. Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Backs up other members of the HR team as needed, assists with new employee’s introduction to the department, assists with all areas of HR as needed.
- Responsible for both leading and assisting with HR projects.
- Maintains existing employee files, and other files and records as assigned.
- Assists with identifying training and coaching as assigned or needed. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
- Responsible for HR tasks, projects, and duties for assigned HR areas including specific departments and specific HR functions (ex. Workers Comp, Unemployment, Salary/Benefit Surveys, Employee Engagement, Training).
- Continues to learn HR laws, competencies, and best practices.
Qualifications include:
- Consistent execution of quality customer service.
- Ethical conduct.
- Able to effectively communicate with; geriatric and/or confused clients, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, Private Duty Residents, and staff.
- Positive and constructive attitude.
- Comprehension of medical terminology, advance keyboard/computer skills.
- Basic working knowledge of office equipment such as copier, printer.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Senior care or long-term care experience a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Required Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in an office or customer service environment required. Additional coursework in Human Resources or PHR certification is preferred, but not required.
