Join Our Growing Optometry Practice
We are a fairly new and growing optometry practice seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Optician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to grow with a practice that values patient care, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
Position Summary: The Optician will play a key role in delivering an exceptional patient experience, from frame selection to eyewear dispensing, while also assisting with optical inventory management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting patients with frame and lens selection based on lifestyle, prescription, and budget
- Educating patients on lens options, coatings, and eyewear care
- Taking accurate measurements and fitting eyewear
- Processing, tracking, and verifying eyewear orders
- Managing optical inventory, including frames, lenses, and supplies
- Monitoring stock levels and communicating re-order needs
- Maintaining a clean, organized optical area
- Troubleshooting and adjusting glasses as needed
- Supporting the team with excellent customer service and communication
Qualifications:
- Prior optician or optical experience required
- Experience with inventory management or willingness to learn
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and team-player mindset
