What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anesthesia Technologist position at Cedar Park Group?
Cedar Park Med is seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technologist to support anesthesia services in all areas where general anesthesia is administered. The ideal candidate will have expertise in anesthesia equipment, room preparation, and invasive procedure assistance, ensuring a seamless and safe experience for patients and providers.
Shift/Schedule:
- Day/Evening shifts. 3:00p 11:30p, rotating occasionally to 7:00a - 3:30p.
- Weekend rotation with on call responsibilities
- 13 week assignment with possible extension
***Hiring for both local and traveler positions! Only candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for traveler roles. Rates vary based on experience and whether the position is local or traveler.***
Responsibilities:
- Work across all locations where general anesthesia is provided.
- Perform room turnovers and prepare operating rooms, including invasive procedure setups.
- Troubleshoot various anesthesia machines (different makes and models).
- Assist anesthesiologists with invasive procedures such as arterial lines, central venous catheter (CVC) placement, and thermodilution catheter placement.
- Maintain and ensure the sterility of anesthesia instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Implement infection control practices related to anesthesiology equipment and supplies.
- Manage anesthesia supply inventory, including ordering and restocking rooms and carts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of experience.
- Graduate of an accredited Anesthesia Technology program.
- National ASATT certification as an Anesthesia Technologist.
- CPR/BLS certification (must be obtained before starting work).
- Proficiency in acute cardiac cases
- Knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques, including reprocessing methods and assisting with sterile tray setups.
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma center preferred.
