Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling to enhance their shopping experience and meet sales goals
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Handle cash handling duties with accuracy, including counting cash, giving change, and balancing registers at shift end
- Ensure proper phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
- Support store operations by managing inventory levels through stocking and merchandising efforts
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Experience in customer service roles that involve product demonstrations or upselling techniques is advantageous
- Supervising experience is beneficial for those interested in growth opportunities within the team
