Schedule 1: Full-time | Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM | 36 hours per week
Schedule 2: Full-time | Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM | 32 hours per week, 4 days per week
Pay: $17.00 per hour and up, based on education and experience

Role Overview:
As a day shift DSP at Park Place, you will help individuals move through their daily routines with safety, respect, and consistency. This includes personal care, active treatment, meals, activities, household responsibilities, and meaningful engagement during daytime hours.

What you’ll do:
Daily Support and Person-Centered Care
- Support individuals with daily routines, personal care, meals, hygiene, mobility, and other activities of daily living while maintaining dignity, privacy, and choice.
- Follow each individual’s plan of care and Individual Program Plan (IPP), using person-centered practices that encourage independence and well-being.
- Provide active treatment, supportive engagement, and meaningful interaction throughout the day in the home and community setting.
- Observe and report changes in condition, behavior, needs, preferences, or safety concerns to the appropriate team member.
Safety, Rights, and Environment
- Promote a safe, clean, respectful, and home-like environment for the individuals supported at Park Place.
- Understand and uphold individual rights, including freedom from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and improper restraint.
- Immediately report suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, rights violations, environmental concerns, or missing personal belongings according to Cedar Lake expectations.
- Use proper lifting, transfer, infection control, handwashing, and safety practices while completing assigned duties.
Teamwork and Documentation
- Communicate professionally with individuals, families, visitors, nurses, supervisors, peers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Complete required documentation, care records, and reports accurately and according to department procedures.
- Assist with laundry, meal preparation, appointments, activities, church services, household tasks, and other assigned responsibilities.
- Attend required meetings, in-service sessions, planning meetings, annual reviews, and suite/team meetings as scheduled.
What sets you apart:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age with valid Kentucky or Indiana Driver’s License and a clean driving record
