What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inpatient Therapist position at Cedar Hills Hospital?
Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed behavioral health hospital and Outpatient Services program dedicated to healing patients’ minds and bodies. Our board-certified psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, and nursing team provide individualized continuum of care treatment for adults 18 and over.
Inpatient Therapist - facilitates group therapy, meets individually with patients, assists with discharge planning and participates in treatment team meetings.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a clinically related mental health field is required. New graduates are encouraged to apply
- Clinical licensure (i.e. LPC, LCSW, LMFT) is not required, but a Master’s Degree and working to obtain licensure is required
- 1-3 years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills and strong clinical assessment skills is a plus
- Current AHA CPR certification
- Handle With Care and Verbal De-Escalation training provided upon hire and competency is required
- May be required to rotate weekends (approximately every 4-6 weeks)
