What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator position at Cedar Grove Composting?
Winton Manufacturing is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment and machinery such as grinders and screening plants, and perform other tasks as assigned.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate safely and efficiently heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers and excavators.
- Operate grinder and feedstock processing equipment.
- Operate portable and stationary screening equipment.
- Perform routine clean- up of work area on daily basis including daily maintenance on machines.
Required Skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to meet operational performance standards.
- Must interact with the public in a professional manner.
- Must work as a team member.
- Must report to work during assigned hours with start time of 7:30am.
Education/Certification
- Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school.
Experience/Other
- Must have 2 years’ experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, portable grinders, screening plants, dozers, skid steers & excavators.
- Must have a valid Washington driver’s license.
- History of good employment attendance.
Physical Demands
To successfully perform the essential duties of this position, an individual must be able to stand for 8 or more hours per day, and frequently lift, push/pull, and/or carry objects up to 100 pounds. Pay: $26.00 per hour
