The Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages birth to three years. This role involves assisting with daily classroom activities, caregiving routines, and fostering positive relationships with children, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans
- Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, toileting, and nap routines
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Observe and interact with children to support their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being
- Assist with documenting children’s activities, progress, and daily reports
- Model positive behavior guidance and gentle caregiving practices
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with families and team members
- Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety guidelines, and center policies
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience:
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
