Job Location – Eustace, TX (1 hr from Dallas, in East Texas)
Salary: $28,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year

Position Summary-
As a Ranch Hand, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the daily operations of a ranch and equipment operation. Duties may also include wildlife management, maintaining equipment and facilities, repairing fences, and assisting with seasonal activities such as planting food plots. The role requires physical stamina, knowledge of basic ranching practices, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this hands-on position.
Overall Responsibilities-
- Perform daily maintenance tasks, including fence repair, checking water sources, and general property upkeep.
- Operate and maintain ranch equipment, such as skid steer, backhoe, tractors, mowers, and other tools.
- Routine landscape maintenance including lake
- Support Trail Management and Clearing
- Prescribed burn assistance
- Support Equipment and Vehicle maintenance and clean up
- Assist with livestock/wildlife management, as needed.
- Assist with routine inspections and repairs for lodge structures, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Address lodge-related operational or maintenance emergencies promptly and efficiently.
- Assist in ranch related projects - axe throwing range, walkin cooler building etc.
- Support hospitality tasks occasionally
Ranch Support Operations:
Daily Tasks:
- Fill/check feeders
- Monitor water sources
- Check fences/gates
- Clear trails
- Support food plots
- Monitor game cameras
- Check blind conditions
- Record and report maintenance needs
Equipment Care:
- Maintain hunting vehicles
- Service field equipment
- Clean/maintain blinds and feeders
- Basic equipment repair
- Tool maintenance & supply management
Property Maintenance:
- Maintain roads/trails
- Clear shooting lanes
- Basic repairs
- Fence checks
Habitat Work:
- Brush control
- Water management
- Erosion control
- Habitat projects
- Prescribed burns
- Moving Blinds

Requirements:
- Previous experience in ranch operations and maintenance.
- Heavy machinery experience with skid steer, backhoe, tractor, etc. (Required)
- Proficient in operating and maintaining ranch equipment.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform tasks related to manual labor.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of basic animal husbandry is a plus.
