Job Overview
We are seeking a Farm and Ranch Hand. This role involves hands-on work across various farm operations, including overseeing crops and livestock, maintaining equipment, performing general farm duties, and operating heavy machinery.
Responsibilities
- Assist with livestock care, including feeding, watering, and monitoring to ensure cattle health, and oversee fencing repairs
- Operate farm machinery such as tractors, forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment and machinery using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and mechanical knowledge.
- Support crop production activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in farming or agricultural environments with hands-on knowledge of livestock management and crop cultivation.
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery
- CDL preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including shopkeeping and heavy lifting
- Self-motivation; must be a team player and get along with others
- Familiarity with safety standards related to agricultural production and equipment operation; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Basic math skills for measurements
