JOB OPPORTUNITY
Cedar Corporation is a growing company, that offers a professional, yet flexible work environment. We are seeking a full-time, highly motivated, self-starter to join our team as a Municipal Engineering Team Leader in our Menomonie office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hire and manage staff (with concurrence of Service Line Director and President)
- Communicate and update Office Manager on new hires, equipment, and space needs
- Approve and assign new projects to project teams with input from Client Manager(s)
- Oversee and approve time for employees on Team
- Complete annual personnel reviews and recommend salary adjustments to Service Line Director; during reviews, seek input on individual performance from others as appropriate
- Work with Service Line Director to develop new work and respond to proposal requests
- Attend client meetings to assist client managers
- Mentor and develop staff
- Prepare Team workload projections
- Prepare Team business plan
- Manage workload allocation between project Teams
- Monitor budgets for existing projects within Team
- Conduct Team meetings
- Review and recommend training requests for Team to Service Line Director
- Recommend trade show and conference attendance to Service Line Director
- Review and approve new projects as submitted by client managers - Scope, Budget, Schedule
- Build and strengthen client relationships
- Set example of company culture
- Coordinate with Office Manager to promote Team building opportunities.
- Responsible for overall financial performance of the Team
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
- Licensed Professional Engineer, WI preferred.
- 15 years of related engineering experience required.
- Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.
- Experience handling multiple projects concurrently.
- Previous project and staff management experience.
- Civil 3D CAD experience preferred.
