Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain vehicles with a focus on diesel engines, powertrain components, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and alignment adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices to execute repairs efficiently.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex systems including automotive electrical systems and auto body components.
- Perform wheel alignments and vehicle inspections to meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair, preferably within a dealership or similar environment.
- Hands-on experience with GM vehicles or similar makes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics software and schematics for efficient troubleshooting.
- Skilled in diesel engine repair, vehicle maintenance, and powertrain servicing.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment procedures, and auto body repair techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by the ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems expertise.
