Environmental Field Specialist

The Environmental Specialist will assist other environmental team members with field visits, data collection and reporting necessary to support a variety of environmental compliance needs for customers. The Environmental Specialist will be a champion of our company core values while maintaining internal and external customer engagement and satisfaction.

Some responsibilities include:

• Conduct desktop research to identify the potential presence of wetlands and other sensitive habitats within project areas.
• Assist in conducting wetland delineations in accordance with USACE Wetland Delineation Manual and applicable Regional Supplements.
• Support the collection and analysis of field data related to soil, vegetation, and hydrology to determine wetland boundaries and classifications.
• Contribute to the preparation of detailed wetland delineation reports, maps, and supporting documentation for regulatory permit applications.
• Collaborate with senior level Environmental Field Specialists in conducting wetland delineations to ensure accurate data collection, reporting consistency, and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in Environmental Science or related field 
• Previous industry experience – preferred  
• Familiarity with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act – preferred  
• Previous experience in wetland delineations, identification of hydric soils and plant species, and ArcGIS suite – preferred  
• May require occasional travel and overnight stays to various customer field sites
