OPEN POSITIONS:
LIFEGUARD – $16.43/hour
Available Shifts:
- Tuesdays between the hours of 10:00am - 2:00pm
- Wednesday - Thursday 4:00pm - 8:45pm
- Friday 5:15am - 11:00am additional hours between 12:00pm - 7:00pm
- Saturday - Sunday between the hours of 11:00am - 7:00pm
SWIM INSTRUCTOR – $16.43/hour
Available Shifts:
- Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 9:00pm
- Saturday - Sunday 6:00am - 12:00pm
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (ALL POSITIONS):
- Minimum age of 16 or older (with valid NYS working papers for minors)
- Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness
- LIFEGUARDS: Must have a valid lifeguard certification (within 30 days of hire) and demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards
- Be able to pass the CDYMCA swim test, as administered by the Aquatic Director or designated individual
- Basic computer skills, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
- Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration (completed within 30 days of hire)
- New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Bloodborne Pathogens trainings (completed within 90 days of hire)
