Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Dysphagia Diagnostics

Compensation: Starting at $48.00 per hour
Job Summary
Comprehensive Dysphagia Diagnostic Care (CDX Care) is a specialized dysphagia diagnostics company providing onsite Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) services to post-acute care providers and healthcare organizations through the use of portable diagnostic technology. By bringing advanced swallowing diagnostics directly to patients in their care setting, we improve access to care, reduce transportation barriers, and deliver timely, high-quality clinical services.
We are seeking a clinically driven Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in the Livonia area. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced physicians and clinicians while providing diagnostic swallowing evaluations that directly impact patient outcomes and quality of life.
The ideal candidate is passionate about dysphagia management, values collaboration, and enjoys working independently while serving as a clinical resource for facility staff and interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
• Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
• Analyze study results and develop evidence-based recommendations
• Educate patients, families, and facility staff regarding swallowing disorders and management strategies
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation teams, dietary departments, and facility leadership
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices
• Serve as a clinical ambassador for CDX Care through professionalism, communication, and exceptional patient care
Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Michigan Speech-Language Pathology license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS/MBSS) required
• Experience performing Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) strongly preferred
• Experience evaluating and treating dysphagia in adult and geriatric populations preferred
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Ability to report to the Livonia office location
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
