A family in the Wausau area is seeking a dependable, positive individual to provide part-time mentorship and support to a young man. This role focuses on being a supportive presence, helping him stay engaged in positive activities, and offering guidance through everyday interactions. This young man is homeschooled, so scheduling is flexible regarding both days and times. He enjoys both spending time at home and going out to socialize. He describes himself as an “introverted extrovert,” meaning he values quiet time but also enjoys engaging with others and participating in activities outside the home.
Pay: $14.13 per hour

Hours: 8 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Responsibilities:
- Spend quality time with the client and provide positive mentorship
- Help keep individual engaged in safe, constructive activities
- Accompany individual on walks or community outings as appropriate
- Encourage healthy coping strategies when needed (DBT skills a plus!)
- Provide general guidance and model good life skills
Ideal Candidate:
- Patient and supportive
- Mature and boundary oriented
- Outgoing with a good sense of humor (a “jokester” is welcome!)
- Confident, with strong personal boundaries
- Comfortable serving as a positive mentor and role model
- Handy or knowledgeable about cars, mechanics, or construction (preferred)
- Someone who shares similar interests and can teach practical skills
Qualifications:
