About the Job:
CDS Logistics & Home Services is seeking a dynamic Warehouse Professional to lead operational activities for a leading final mile logistics company. The Warehouse Lead position will be responsible for overseeing daily inbound and outbound schedules ensuring operational excellence. This position will report directly to the Operations Manager for the respective facility and will work in tandem with their direct reports to suggest process and system improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs and manage quality. The primary goal for this position is to ensure excellent operational standards are met to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and increase synergies within the warehouse team.
Warehouse Lead:
In this role you will focus on driving operational excellence for all inbound and outbound product activities to ensure that all inbound and outbound scheduling is met. These expectations should be met through a hands-on management approach and being responsible to all stakeholders and cross functional groups.

Essential Job Functions
- Ensure that all scheduled inbound and outbound products are executed against daily: including individually performing as well as leading a warehouse team in execution of inbound receiving, product locating, order pulling, dock master tasks, cleaning, etc.
- Manage and problem solve issues and challenges arising within the warehouse department daily ensuring that inbound and outbound product schedules are met, while communicating to Operations Manager regarding daily issues and resolutions.
- Maintain order accuracy for all pulling activities.
- Runs checked, pulled to the correct doors, and all runs pulled in a timely manner.
- Ensure all warehouse tasks are being performed in a safe and efficient manner while utilizing company resources/tools/equipment and personal safety equipment.
- Ensure that Dock Master responsibilities are completed daily and any drivers needing assistance are helped in a timely fashion.
- Oversee and enforce all company policies, SOP’s, safety programs (OSHA compliance) and expectations of all employees and contract to hire employees.
- Manage auditing of all warehousing activities.
- Ensure warehouse is always kept in a “customer ready” state of order and cleanliness.
- Partner with Warehouse Supervisor to assist daily department planning and staffing for workloads in accordance with inbound and outbound scheduling. Complete scheduling when needed.
- Responsible for accountability and condition of all in and outbound freight.
- Act as subject matter expert on all customer account HLSD standards, scanner utilization for warehouse and driver team members, paperwork/systems processing.
- Under guidance of Warehouse Supervisor oversee facilities security policies and procedures to ensure all precautions are being taken into consideration regarding employee safety and facilities security as top priorities.
- Ensure paperwork flow and company systems are utilized in accordance with customer SOP’s and internal SOP’s.
- Lead and manage lean management principles’ application in the warehouse department in conjunction with Operations Manager.
- Responsible for accuracy when locating orders into inventory in the warehouse
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 75lbs
- Possession of key competencies, including strong communication, organization, prioritization, conflict management, creative problem solving, leadership, process improvement and decision-making skills.
- Strong Computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet search
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Leadership skills and ability manage the organization’s most important assets, our people.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to get things done
- Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience managing employees while tracking, analyzing, and communicating surrounding employee performance against performance standards.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual English and Spanish.
- Minimum of 1-3years’ experience in the warehouse leadership capacity, preferably within the logistics/distribution industry and further preferred within last mile delivery industry.
- MS Excel Skills: Strong Proficiency in Data Analytics tools within Excel.
- 3PL Management Experience within an operations or warehousing position.
- Data Analytic Skills.
- Workforce planning and scheduling experience.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Responsible for managing a team of warehouse professionals.
Physical Demands

Little to no travel is expected for this position.
Work Environment
This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses power industrial equipment such as forklifts, double electric pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and double reach trucks.
