About the Job

CDS Logistics and Home Services is hiring a full-time Electrician to join our Electrical Business, which focuses on installation and preventative maintenance of in-home automated standby generators throughout the state of Maryland. CDS will provide this employee with a company vehicle, company cell phone, gas card and hands-on training. In addition to installing generators, you can anticipate performing residential electric work and serving our customers as an expert in your field.

• Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating efforts with your stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions:

• Installation of automated standby generators.
• Preform preventative maintenance for automated standby generators.
• Complete Residential Electrical work
• Troubleshooting electrical systems
• Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures.
• Coordinate with office administrators to confirm daily schedule, communicate daily progress and challenges and complete paperwork daily.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong understanding of electrical concepts.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License (company vehicle will be provided)
• 3-5 Years of experience working in the electrical field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Holds a valid Electrical Journeyman's License for the state of MD.
• Experience working with generators
• Experience working with EV chargers

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit, stand, for 8 hours per day, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading, typing and use of wrists, hands, and fingers. This position also operates on the road and employees must be capable of operating a vehicle and or traveling by air.

Travel

Frequent travel is expected for this position at an average of 50% on the road travel.

Work Environment

This job operates in a home office environment and in the field on the road and at warehouse facilities throughout the Unites States. This role routinely uses office equipment such as computers, scanners, copiers, telephones, and occasionally uses warehouse equipment where trained and certified. This position will operate within warehouse production floors, loading docks and at delivery site locations.
