What You'll Do
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer on dedicated routes.
- Deliver freight to retail stores and distribution centers.
- Complete vendor backhaul pickups as assigned.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and shipping documentation.
- Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and management.
- Provide excellent customer service while representing the company.
Schedule
- Semi-local position
- Start time: Approximately 2:00 AM
- Two consecutive days off each week
- Weekend work may be required based on the assigned schedule
- Drivers are typically away from home 2–3 nights per week
- Frequent home time
- Drivers may be scheduled to work certain holidays that fall on their regular work schedule
Salary
Average Annual Earnings: $84,000–$90,000
Mileage Pay
Regional Routes (Approximately 75% of Loads)
- $0.63 per mile starting rate
- $0.645 per mile after 1 year
- $0.66 per mile after 3 years
- $20 stop pay
Local Routes (Approximately 25% of Loads)
- $0.725 per mile starting rate
- $0.735 per mile after 1 year
- $0.745 per mile after 3 years
- $30 stop pay
Additional Compensation
- $30 backhaul pickup pay
- $25 per hour breakdown pay (after applicable waiting period, subject to employer policy)
- $20 per hour safety and hourly pay
- $100 weekly attendance/reliability incentive (subject to employer requirements)

- 45-foot, 48-foot, and 53-foot dry van trailers
- Refrigerated trailers when assigned

Job Requirements:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum of 3 months of Class A commercial driving experience
- Ability to meet DOT qualification requirements
- Ability to obtain a Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire (reimbursement available according to employer policy)
- Reliable attendance and safe driving record
- Strong customer service and communication skills
