Job Description:
The Drive United Group is hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for a dedicated local intermodal account based in Edgerton, Kansas.
Drivers will transport intermodal containers between rail yards and customer locations throughout Kansas and Missouri. This position offers daily home time, consistent freight, automatic day cab tractors, and no-touch freight.
Drivers begin and end their shifts at either the Edgerton, KS facility or the Kansas City, MO yard.

Driver Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle.
- Pick up and deliver intermodal containers between rail ramps and customer locations.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate logs and shipping documentation.
- Follow all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers.
- Operate safely and efficiently at all times.
Freight Details
- Intermodal Container Freight
- No-Touch Freight
- Approximately 70% Drop & Hook
- Approximately 30% Live Load/Unload
- Average 1,000 Miles Per Week
- Local Kansas & Missouri routes
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Tuesday–Saturday
- Evening start times (after 6:00 PM)
- Approximately 12-hour shifts
- Schedule assigned based on business needs at hire
Job Requirements:
Applicants should meet the following qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of Class A CDL driving experience
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to obtain a Hazmat endorsement within 90 days (reimbursement available)
- Ability to work evening shifts and assigned schedule
- Ability to safely operate automatic day cab tractors
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
