#### Responsibilities

• A Buyer/Purchasing Agent is responsible for sourcing and development
  
  

of suppliers in support of the business

• Their duties include researching their target market, analyzing
  
  

volume data and building relationships with suppliers

• Buyers often have significant industry experience that enable them
  
  

to identify gaps in the market, predict buying trends, documenting

sourcing strategies, cost targets, and valued propositions

• Collecting and analyzing data to help predict trends and forecast
  
  

sales figures

• Researching new suppliers, products and manufacturing processes
• Identifying quality standards and ensuring that all products meet
  
  

those standards

• Collating customer feedback
• Negotiating with suppliers to agree prices, terms, quantities,
  
  

delivery schedules and exclusivity deals

• Working with inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries
  
  

satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or

missing products

• Ensure order quantities support volume and inventory goals
• Delivering reports on volume data, purchase activity and other
  
  

metrics to the senior management team

• Conducting supplier research
• Adapting product offering based on customer feedback and behavior
• Coordination with other CDL divisions for multiple division projects
• Any other duties as assigned by leadership team
