Duties
- Safely operate flatbed trucks with aut transmission across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer, checking brakes, tires, lights, and load security before each trip
- Deliver freight to various locations, managing route driving efficiently while maintaining punctuality and professionalism
- Securing loads on flatbeds to prevent shifting during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatcher and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections in compliance with company policies
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license ( Class A -CDL) with a clean driving record
- 2 years of experience driving tractor-trailers or similar freight vehicles, particularly with flatbeds trailers
- Proficiency with truck driving safety protocols
- Strong knowledge of route driving, load securing techniques, and transportation regulations
- Physical ability to lift tarps and perform vehicle inspections regularly
- Prior delivery driver experience preferred; excellent communication skills are essential for customer interactions
